Roadkill Records are proud to present a line-up of epic proportions to kick off 2020 with. Following an exceptional year spirited post-punks AFTER LONDON will play The Shacklewell Arms alongside synth ruffians HOTGOTHIC, surf cowboys Enemy Of The People and goth specters The Dead Zoo.

Megan O'Neill and full band live at 229 The Venue Great Portland St, 5th December 2019. This promises to be an incredible night of original music with Megan sharing songs from her new album - set for release in 2020. The last time O'Neill played at 229 the gig was a sell out, so make sure you get your tickets fast!

Megan has had a busy 2019 so far with some highlights including touring with Sir Tom Jones and festival slots at Country-2-Country, The British Country Music Festival and Body & Soul. O’Neill has also recently been selected as the lead female in Universal Music’s new album project and Roadshow titled ‘Now That’s What I Call Country Music’.

Emily Faye will be supporting with angelic vocals and strong catchy country-pop melodies.

Since the formation of The King’s Parade on a Hawaiian cruise liner in 2015, the four-piece’s assured touch of classic Detroit blues with melodic, crossover pop has the band evoking the crafted sounds of The Black Keys, Michael Kiwanuka and Alabama Shakes.

Georgia & The Vintage Youth At just 22 years of age, Georgia has already mastered a retro jazz/swing style of music that is both vintage and fresh (hence the name of the band). It's contagious and subconsciously gets you tapping your feet (think Jools Holland or Paolo Nutini). 

Belle Roscoe 10pm

With their new wave indie folk/rock sound this independent and international band; hailing from Melbourne Australia has been building a solid underground buzz worldwide.

Roadkill Records are very proud to be hosting a special headline show from London's premiere synthwave retrofuturists Violet Haze. They've been wowing us with their Alex Cameron-esque grooves and scuzzy LA lounge epics for some time and we're proud to present a party for them on the May bank-holiday.

Support comes from ethereal dream-pop idol Circe and discordant indie upcomers Fast Pop Music.

Roadkill Records once again team up with ECubed to raise vital funds for Solace Women's Aid. Rock Against Violence is Solace's flagship live music event and Aprils show features prominent and powerful women from the countries vibrant DIY punk scene. Born and bred in County Mayo, Ireland, Lisa Canny is a notably talented musician; best known for her enchanting covers and captivating live performances. Canny is gifted with empowering confidence and a charming sense of honesty.

Crowned UK “Future Music’s” Songwriting Champion in 2016, followed closely by a Late Late Show performance, a top 5 debut E.P. release and a sell-out UK and Ireland tour in May 2018 the most exciting and consummate stage of Lisa Canny’s career is now pouring vehemently over the horizon.

Steve Young is a globe trotting session guitarist, teacher & entertainer turned Singer/Songwriter. Early TV appearances with Lionel Richie & Peter Andre soon led to full time touring duties with world famous artists - most notably ex Savage Garden front man Darren Hayes which took Steve on trips around the world performing at the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, Brisbane QPAC, LA Roxy and many more concluding as co-writer on Darren's last album in 2012

Since writing and releasing the ‘Little Things EP' in 2014, and crowd funded debut Album ‘Troubadour' in 2016, Steve has performed at The London O2 - Country 2 Country Festival. Time Out London's 'Rising Stars of UK Country' Multiple shows at the Edinburgh Free Fringe, recorded live for Bob Harris' - Under The Apple Tree Sessions, opened for Carlene Carter (daughter of Johnny Cash's wife June Carter) as well as opening sets for Broadway Star - Ramin Karimloo, UK Blues Artist - Jo Harman, Brit Award winner Tom Odell (Help Refugees), folk singers Charlie Dore, Reg Meuross and many solo gigs & tours around the UK

Lisa Wright

At first glance; Lisa Wright is a 5ft, blonde, Essex girl who seemingly charms her way into the audiences’ affection by cracking jokes and telling stories but then she begins to play... and the room goes silent.

BBC Introducing announced her as one of their emerging ‘Sound of 2017s’ and was handpicked by BBC 6 to represent the BBC at Latitude Festival 2017.

Described as ‘Carole King meets Patty Griffin meets John Mayer’, Lisa was championed by the Nashville Songwriters Association as their ‘One to Watch’; after she impressed the transatlantic audience with her unique and intelligent songwriting. She was also selected as a Song Suffragette songwriter in Nashville's female-only singer-songwriter showcase.

Lisa has released two EPs which both entered into the iTunes Country Charts at No.3 - making Lisa the only independent, female artist in the Top 30 at the time.

It’s understandable to see why Lisa has often been described as “the UKs best kept secret”, but that’s all set to change ........
